Joyce Ginyard was born on March 12, 1961, to Eloise Ginyard and Kelly Thomas in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joyce was raised in a strong Baptist home and spent most of her time in the church. She knew the "Word" and loved Gospel music.

As Joyce grew through life she achieved many things. One of which she most enjoyed, her cosmetologist license. Joyce was known for her "FAMOUS FINGERWAVES" and did everyone's hair. She later attended Chatfield College. Joyce loved kids and all kids loved her. She could be called upon to babysit anytime.

Joyce was the "Favorite Auntie"! She loved cooking and served on the kitchen committee with New Prospect Baptist Church since 2012. She was truly loved by many.

Joyce was preceded in her homecoming by her sisters Cassandra, Denise (Peggy), Jackie, Marian (Teenie) and Special sisters, Janelle and Debbie. Her daughter Nahketha, grandson Halo, and her only brother Richard. Special friends Vickie Edwards and Rhonda Bolden as well.

Joyce leaves behind to celebrate her life with fond memories: her two sisters Tracey Siler and Toni Ginyard. Children: sons Nick, Larry (JAG), and daughter Nahiesha (NI). Grandchildren: Donelle (Ginyard), Nickira, Shiloh, Logan (Nanna) and Lil Nick. A host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Joyce was fun, outspoken, and the life of the party. We all share many memorable moments and experiences with her. Joyce was very grateful for our love and friendships. She will sincerely be missed.

Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12 noon, on  Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the New Prospect Baptist Church, 1580 Summit Road, Cincinnati  (45237).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12 noon. Minister Vernice Appling will officiate.  Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Pallbearers: Nicholas Ginyard, Larry Washington, Shiloh Ginyard, Mario Ginyard,  DeAngelo Ginyard, Damion Ginyard, Brandon Ginyard, and DerReese Griffen.

Honorary Pallbearers: Nah'Keith Ginyard and Donelle Ginyard,

Flower Bearers: Logan Lee, Nickira Ginyard, McKenzie Snell, Lyric Snell, Khloe Ginyard, Tranae Ginyard, Penelope Ginyard, and Jaylen Rose Ginyard.
