Jonathan Richards was born on September 5, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio the beloved son of Harry Edwin Richards, Sr. and Barbara Jean (Rhodes) Richards.  He passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 55.  He had a lot of sides to him and met a lot of great people over the years. He was full of life and always making memories. Jon was an excellent mechanic for various companies over the years and excelled in various other trades. For those who knew him well, he was like a human encyclopedia on the history and mechanics of cars. He loved teaching others about cars and their history. His love for cars, and music excelled past "just an occupation", whether it was at home, at work or at car shows or racetracks. He enjoyed rides on his motorcycle. Both Ryley and Courtney have memories of their first rides with him. Jonathan played the bass guitar and was into music of all genres. Probably why we love the music loud and feel it with our hearts. He taught his family many things in life and how to enjoy the little things too. He was a big family man.

That being said, this quote reminded me of what I believe my dad would say at this time, "A limb has fallen from the family tree." and I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease. My soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small, go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly. So, keep up your chin. Until the day comes, we're together again."

He enjoyed car shows, motorcycles, music and even taught his knowledge and skills but his favorite past time was spending quality time with his daughter and granddaughter. He will also be missed by his grand pup, Diesel. He was a devoted father of Courtney Richards, loving grandpa of Ryley Richards and dear brother of Harry Richards (Marcia), Stacy Jensen (Eric), Natalie Barnell (Mike), the late Jerrie Karnes (Gary) and Michelle Hammond (Bob). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
