It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of, Jonathan James Perez, 44 from the Bronx, New York, who passed away on October 25, 2025.

March 10, 1981 — the Bronx was blanketed in heavy snow, but for Jeanette Samuel and John Perez, they weren't phased by the storm but instead the kicks of their child. On that chilly day, their world changed forever. Through the storm came a spark — their son, their heart, their soul, Jonathan James Perez. His soul had an illumining essence that can be characterized through the love of his children. Jonathan was genuine, and full of life. He was devoted to his family; he carried love in everything he did. His laughter was contagious, his confidence soared through the skies, and his heart open to all. He found joy in simple things — a good game, a Giants win, and moments spent with his children, who were his greatest pride. Jonathan was known for his kindness; he would give the shirt off his back without a second thought. To many, he was more than a friend — he was the big brother they never had, and a soul impossible to forget. Jonathan will be lovingly remembered by his mother Jeanette Samuel, children Jonathan Jr and Jaidynn Perez, and their mother Jessica Carro, siblings Brandon and Kaitlyn Perez and their mother Dawn, his aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by father, John Perez, twin daughters, Alejandra- Marie, Jamie–Marie, grandparents Alejandrina and Luis Samuel, Mary and Juan Perez, uncles Luis and Josue D Samuel.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on  Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation,  beginning at 4:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
