Jonathan Burress was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, born on November 14, 1957, to the late Earl and Annie Burress. Johnny was a lifelong resident of Cincinnati. He attended Cincinnati Public Schools throughout his education. He was a hard worker and was employed for several local companies prior to becoming disabled. He enjoyed fishing and listening to good music. He was kind, compassionate, and loved animals. He was often seen walking through the neighborhood with several cats trailing him. Johnny was married to Gelema, who preceded him in death. Johnny leaves to cherish his memory, five brothers, Ronald, Earl, Mike, David, and Jeffrey; three sisters, Viola, Yvonne, and Pamela (Richard). He leaves behind two step-grandchildren, cousins, friends, and many nieces and nephews who fondly called him 'Uncle Elmo' because that's what he liked. He will be missed. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the Walker- Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street , Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at United American Cemetery, 4933 Duck Creek Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227.
