IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Johnnie Mae
(Jackson) Allen
May 6, 1939 – August 1, 2025
Johnnie Mae Jackson was born on May 6, 1939, in Eutaw, Alabama, to Johnny and Lee Anna Jackson. She was called to Glory on August 1, 2025. She was the oldest of 11 children.
Johnnie grew up in Eutaw, AL, where she graduated from Carver High School in 1956. As an adult, she relocated to Covington, KY, where she worked as a nurse's aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She moved to Cincinnati, where she found her career at AT&T, until she retired.
She was a devoted member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, serving in missionary work, and enjoyed bowling, attending church, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Lee Anna Jackson; two grandchildren, Cierra Allen and Jordan Allen; and sister-in-law, Arrie Powell.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Janetta Simpson; son, Wendell Allen; five grandchildren, Paris West, Kanisha West, Darlene Allen, Darius Allen, and Amaya Allen. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, Kharyu, Gregory, Carnelius, Kelliah, Elijah, Rashawn, Deasia, Tremaine, and Paris Anthony; her siblings, Ora Lee Jackson, Willie Jackson, Charles Powell, Howard Jackson, Rose E. Durham (Paul), Glenn Jackson (Kristina), Glennda Jackson, Sheila Jackson, Areatha Jackson, and Mark Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, loving cousins, and friends.
Known lovingly as "Johnnie Mae" or "Aunt Johnnie," she will be deeply missed for her joy, wisdom, and love.
