IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Johnnie Pearl
Cannon
September 17, 1931 – October 2, 2015
Obituary for Johnnie Pearl Cannon Johnnie Pearl Cannon was born on September 17, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of John Henry and Lillie Pearl (Mahone) Glenn of Columbus, Georgia. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, October 2, 2015. She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Morris Glenn, William Glenn, Herbert (Pap) Glenn, and Charles Glenn. Johnnie had a great sense of humor…she was always making us laugh. Her personality was warm and inviting, her smile was infectious, and she was young in spirit. She was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Nana, Great Grandmother, counselor, confidante and friend. Johnnie loved the Lord and was a mighty prayer warrior. We will miss her rising early to cover her family in prayer before we started our day. Johnnie was a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church for 38 years. She loved her church family and was a dedicated and active member. Her ministries included: Senior Usher Board, Evening Stars, TTT (Toys That Touch), Prison Ministry, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School, Food Panty, Clothing Give-away and any other capacity where she could lend a helping hand. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Glenn Cannon; Doris E. Nelson (Theo); Vanessa R. Sibert; 10 grandchildren; Dorian Gardner, Kirstie Perry (Leo), Nikiyia Cannon, Glenn Cannon Jr., Timothy Cannon, James Cannon, Quinn Sibert, Theopolus (T.J.) Nelson, Jared Nelson, and Joshua Nelson; 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, her church family and friends. "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, And this mortal shall have put on immortality, Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" 1 Corinthians 15:54-55 The Family Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 722 Oak Street, Cincinnati, (45206).
