JOHN WILLIE TOLBERT Cincinnati, Ohio 1940 - 2005 Mr. John Willie Tolbert was born on September 17, 1940, in Appalachia, Virginia. He was born to the union of the late Willie and Cleo Tolbert. John responded to the will of his Master on Thursday, October 6, 2005, at 12:37 a.m. John's family relocated several times during his childhood due to his father's occupation as a miner. He received his formal education in Lynch, Kentucky Public Schools. The family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1957. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. John united with Bethlehem Baptist Church in 1966, under the leadership of the late A. H. Johnson. Mr. Tolbert was a hard worker at Fernald Atomic Energy Plant. He worked continuously for twenty-five years until he became ill in 1992. In 1966, John Willie Tolbert was united in Holy Matrimony to Doris. Three children were born to this union. The loving couple recently celebrated 39 years of happiness in July. John was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Cleo Tolbert, and his brother, Robert Tolbert. John W. Tolbert leaves to cherish fond memories, his beloved wife, Doris, three loving children, Todd, Trina, and Tia, sister-in-law, Alia Williams-Tolbert, four grandsons, Travis, Tyler, Tevin, and Terrell, two God-sisters, Natalie McClain and Nina Johnson. He is also survived by his siblings, Willa (Samuel) Davis, Jacqueline (Thornton) Davis, Jack (Loretta), Rose, Dorothy, Fletcher, Bill, Donald (Patricia), and Jerry (Melba). John is survived by brother-in-laws, Johnny, Ernest (Betty), Jesse (Jani), Joseph (Carol), and David (Shirley) Tolbert, two sister-in-laws, Louise Davis and Betty Tolbert, long-time friends, L. D., Clara, and Starkey, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 760 N Fred Shuttlesworth Circle, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Rev. G. Allan Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers: Brian Carter, Derrick Davis, Parrish Fitzhugh, Gary Jackson, James McClain, Jerry Tolbert.
