It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of John  Stenson, age 60, of Cincinnati, Ohio,  who entered eternal rest on Monday, July 7, 2003, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   He was born on Tuesday, May 25, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Sylvester and Mary Stenson.

John married Wilma Jean Hankerson in 1960, and they had four children.  In 1962 John enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country for four years.  John traveled in the Navy, and he wa sdischarged with honors.  He worked at Ford Motor Company for several years.

John was the kind of person that if you met him once, you'd have a friend for life.  He always had a smile on his face.  Throughout the years, he made a lot of friends, and to this day, they still remain friends.  He never had a harsh word for anyone.  He was the type of person to share his last with you.  He will be missed.  His brothers, Roy, Nicholas, and Maxie preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, John Jr. (Jocelyn), Regina (Reynard), Keith (Christine) and Anthony (Diannier); brothers, Merven (Mary) and Charles; a loving sister, Rose; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather from 6:30 p.m.  until 7:00 p.m., on Friday, July 11, 2003, at Walker Funeral Home, 3939 Reading Road (corner of Reading & Paddock) 45229.  The memorial service will begin at 7:00 pm.
