John Harvey
Johnson, Jr.
May 10, 1963 — June 5, 2026
Cincinnati
John Harvey Johnson III was born on May 10, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late John Johnson Jr. and Lynette Eva Blue Johnson.
On June 5, 2026, John peacefully transitioned, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and unforgettable memories.
John was a man whose presence could light up any room. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unforgettable personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was compassionate, hardworking, and fiercely loyal to those he loved.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved sister, Angela Johnson; and his dear niece and nephew, Gary and Shawniece Johnson.
John attended trade school, where he studied automotive technology. He had a passion for cars and was gifted with his hands. There was very little that John could not repair, build, or figure out. His talent, determination, and work ethic made him someone his family and friends could always count on. In addition to his automotive background, John also worked in the nursing home field, where his compassion and care for others were evident every day.
John loved life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was known for his infectious smile, charismatic personality, quick wit, and occasional sass. A true “fly guy,” John took pride in his appearance and was rarely seen without one of his hats. He loved music, laughter, celebrations, and creating memories with those he loved.
His playful sense of humor, occasional sass, and larger-than-life personality made him unforgettable.
John leaves to cherish his memory his children: Cartisha, Michael Lee, and Christopher. He was a proud grandfather to Cartez, Cerenity , Carrell, Camren, Mikela, Ma’Liyah, Mika, Michael Lee Jr., Day'yana , Jeremiah, Ryan, Autumn, and Jace.
John also leaves behind his special friend, Debra; his niece, Teonna; nephew, Rico; his favorite aunt, Barbara; favorite cousin, Kevin; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
John’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and loyalty. His presence brought joy to every room he entered, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
