KANE JOHN A.C. (ANDREW CHARLES) KANE Died at his home on Sunday morning, November 9, 2008. He was a resident of Shenandoah.
He was born on June 24, 1918, in Atlantic City, NJ, and was the son of the late David James and Clara Rose Schorr Kane.
Mr. Kane lived in Shenandoah since 1989 and along with his wife spent their winters in Deerfield Beach, FL, where they were members of St. Ambrose Parish. He was a professional musician "a fine all around percussionist" with The U.S. Army Band and The Washington National Symphony Orchestra. In Virginia, he was a member of Holy Infant Catholic Church in Elkton.
On February 10, 1945 he married Lucina Ann Beck Kane, who survives. Also surviving are eight children, 34 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one sister. Mr. Kane was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Kane Rawoot and brother, David Joseph Kane.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 9 a.m., Thursday, November 13 at the Holy Infant Catholic Church, with Father Alex Credo officiating.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
