Mr. John Henry "Bray" Bell was born April 8, 1938, in Ada, Alabama, to the late George Patterson and Sadie Bell. He departed this life, Wednesday, January 8, 2014, after an extended illness. He was the youngest of 12 children. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters: Columbus, O.T., Clifford, George, Ada, Lula, Essie, Annie, and Louise. He received his education in the Montgomery County Public School System in Ramer, Alabama. John Henry confessed Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill AME Zion Church #1, Ada, Alabama. He later moved to Cincinnati, Oh, but he continued to support his church financially. After moving to Cincinnati, he married the late Elder Lucille Arrington Robinson whom he loved dearly, and there were no children born to that union. However, he helped raise her grandson, Andre Robinson. During his early life in Ada, Alabama, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sporting events with cousins and friends. He and his wife would return home each year until his health began to fail him. He leaves to cherish his loving memories one daughter from marriage, Genie Mae Darks, Cincinnati, Oh; two loving and devoted sisters: Emma Lean Belser and Willie Mae Moore, Montgomery, AL; a caring brother, W. T. (Mamie) Bell, Ada, AL; a devoted brother-in-law, Arthur B. Arrington, Cincinnati, Oh; a loyal cousin, Willie Edward Bell, Montgomery, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. John Henry will be missed by all who knew him. He was a retired employee of Lunkerhimer Steele Plant, Cincinnati, OH, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Architect Lodge #85, Lapine, Alabama.
