IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joey Dean
Chitwood
July 27, 1966 – February 17, 2024
In loving memory of Joey Dean Chitwood. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, we gather to celebrate the life of a man whose vibrant spirit and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Angie, his devoted wife, stood by his side through every chapter of life's journey. Together they raised a beautiful family instilling values of love and laughter in their children Amber, Shae, Breeanna, Selena, and Shiann. Joey's legacy continues through his grandchildren Marissa, Michael, Matthew, Mason, Malia; Avery, Colton; Montgomery; and Malaya, and his great-grandchild Brentley. They will carry forward his zest for life and the joy he found in every moment. Preceded in death by his mother and best friend, Donna, who welcomed him home, he leaves behind his father Leroy, and his siblings Tony, Debbie, Gary, and Richie, who will forever cherish the memories of the times they shared. Joey was the life of the party, a man who never allowed a dull moment to pass. His sense of humor was a bridge that brought people together, making strangers feel like old friends. He lived by a code of kindness, never judging, always welcoming. A selfless soul, he was the epitome of thoughtfulness. His love was fierce, his laughter loud, and his heart, open. A culinary enthusiast, he ensured no one ever left hungry, and his passion for music and dance was contagious, always the first to get the party started. An ardent Cincinnati Bengals fan, he dreamt of their triumph with Joe Burrow at the helm. His favorite color was red, but orange was his signature, a nod to his favorite team. Always dressed to impress, he had a style that was unmistakably his own. Before the days of GPS, he navigated life with an internal compass as reliable as any map, knowing every street by heart. As we bid farewell, we remember a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left us with memories that will forever dance in our hearts. Rest in peace, Joey. Your journey has been a beacon of joy and love. And though you have departed from this world, your spirit remains a guiding light for us all.
