Joann Miller "Mama Jo" was born on September 10, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio to her parents Malinda Early and Joe Clark Early.

Joann was an open spirit. She attended Cincinnati Public Schools, graduating from Sawyer High School. Later in life she attended Tri-State Beauty College where she became a hair stylist. She had the best jheri curl and perm. She loved to cook for her family and attend family gatherings. She was the type that would accept you for who you are and would give you her last dime if you needed it. She gave her life back to Christ in 2010 after a long battle with addiction. This allowed her to grow closer to her children and grandchildren.

Joann departed this life on May 15, 2020. She was preceded in death by her mother, Malinda Early; father, Joe Clark Early; husband, William Miller; great grandson, Kayden Brumfield; brothers, James Campbell, Joe Early Jr. and Lester Early; and sister, Andrera Jones.

Joann leaves to cherish her memories with her three daughters, Nicole Early (Big Leroy), Tooshanna Miller (Lawrence) and Jasmine Hon (Renaldo); four sisters, Debbie, Wanda, Robin and Nettie; two brothers, Anthony and Perry; eight grandchildren, Dashia, Antonio, Leroy, Nasia, Ania, Devejon, Ronnie, and Olivia; great grandchildren, Raegan and Kyren; longtime friend, Fred; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Church Of The Living God, 434 Forest Avenue, Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
