Jewell Ethel
Williams
June 7, 1953 — September 2, 2026
**__“Forever in Our Hearts”__**
Jewell Ethel Williams, a beloved matriarch, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born on June 7, 1953, in the West End of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jewell was the cherished daughter of the late Delores Williams (Thompson) and Jack Beasley. She grew up in Cincinnati and spent her life firmly rooted in the Evanston and Walnut Hills communities. She was a proud graduate of Withrow High School, Class of 1972.
**__A Life of Love, Strength, and Community__**
Jewell spent her life pouring love, hard work, and light into everyone around her. She was a woman with a fiery spirit, a strong personality, and a heart that made room for so many. She was genuine, outspoken, loving, and unforgettable. If Jewell loved you, you knew it—and if she was checking on you, you better answer the phone!
She was a beloved and familiar presence throughout her neighborhood. Jewell cared deeply about the people around her and could often be seen walking along Montgomery Road, checking in on neighbors and friends and making sure everyone was doing well. Her willingness to look out for others was simply part of who she was.
In her spare time, Jewell enjoyed playing cards, attending family gatherings and social events, laughing, talking, and spending time with the people she loved. She understood the importance of family, friendship, fellowship, and simply enjoying life.
**__A Woman Who Worked Hard__**
Jewell’s warmth and vibrant personality touched many workplaces throughout the years, including John and Maggie’s Pony Keg, Kroger, Cincinnati Public Schools Cafeteria, and Ike’s BBQ.
Wherever Jewell worked, she brought her strong work ethic, determination, humor, and unmistakable personality. She believed in working hard, taking care of business, and being there for the people around her.
**__A Foundation of Faith__**
For many years, Jewell was a dedicated member of Bible Way Church of God in Christ. Her faith was an important part of her life and provided her with strength, comfort, and grace throughout her journey.
Her faith, love, and resilience carried her through life’s challenges and allowed her to be a source of encouragement to others. The seeds of faith and love she planted will continue to grow through the family she leaves behind.
**__Her Greatest Joy — Her Family__**
The absolute pride and joy of Jewell’s life was her only son, Daymond Lamont Williams.
She raised Daymond to be a reflection of her strength, integrity, resilience, and love. Her greatest joy was watching her son grow, build a life, and create a beautiful family of his own.
Jewell’s love for her son was immeasurable. She was proud of him, protective of him, and always wanted the very best for him. Through Daymond and her grandchildren, Jewell’s legacy will continue for generations to come.
**__Those She Leaves to Cherish Her Memory__**
Jewell leaves behind a rich and enduring legacy of love, family, friendship, faith, laughter, strength, and community.
She is survived by her loving son, Daymond Lamont Williams; her five cherished grandchildren, Danarius Williams, Daymond Lamont Williams Jr., Leilani Williams, Legacy Williams, and Legend Williams; her siblings, Rosemary Williams, David Sherrod, and April Williams; her beloved uncle, Leroy Williams; her dear bonus daughters, Butch and Sundance; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and close friends whose lives were profoundly touched by her presence.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores; her grandparents, Jewell Streeter and Charles Williams; her aunt, Ethel Mae Crenshaw; and her uncles, Butch Williams and Willie Clarence Williams (Sonny).
**__Forever in Our Hearts__**
Although Jewell’s earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave, the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will never fade.
She will be remembered for her fiery spirit, her big heart, her laughter, her honesty, her strength, and the way she cared for the people around her. She was one of a kind—a woman whose presence could fill a room and whose absence will be deeply felt.
Jewell may no longer walk Montgomery Road checking on everyone, sit around the table playing cards, or gather with the family, but her spirit will remain in every story told, every laugh shared, every family gathering, and every memory held close.
Her love lives on through her son.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren.
Her spirit lives on through her family and friends.
And her memory will live forever in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.
**Rest peacefully, Jewell.**
**Your work here is done.**
**Your love will never be forgotten.**
**You will forever be loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts.**
