Jerry Lee Hargrove was born on September 21, 1946, in Grenada, Mississippi, to the late parents of Jarmon and Annie Mae Hargrove. Jerry departed this life peacefully on March 10, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones. Jerry was the second eldest of 11 children. During the late 1960's Jarmon and Annie Hargrove relocated their family to Cincinnati, Ohio. Jerry was raised in the communities of Evanston and O'Bryonville where he met and married Yvonne Hargrove (Drain), through this union 3 children were born. Jerry had a smile that was infectious and was loved by many. Although he was hearing impaired from birth and did not attend formal schooling he learned how to be a mechanic from his Dad, and taught himself many things along the way, he was known by many as "Mr. Jerry, the Mechanic". He had a profound love for Cadillac's. In his spare time, he enjoyed hanging out with his children and family, cooking and doing house repairs. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jarmon Hargrove II and Annie Mae Hargrove; brothers, Jarmon Hargrove III, Wallace Hargrove, and Dexter Hargrove; sister, Susie B. Hargrove; daughter, Marvis (Boobie) Drain. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Yvonne Hargrove; 4 children, Yvonne Lunsford (Rashid), Janay Drain, Julia Hargrove, Jerry Hargrove Jr; siblings, Beatrice Clark, of Peoria, Illinois, Lillie Sims (the late Jerry Sawyer), James B. Hargrove, Al Hargrove (Edith), J.D Hargrove (the late Deborah), Jarlene Hargrove, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and a host of family members and friends. Psalm 119:45 I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts, I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not put shame for I delight in your command, because I love them. I lift my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees.
