Jerlene  Lewis March 12, 1937 - November 29, 2023

Jerlene Lewis was born on March 12, 1937, in Collierville, Tennessee to Catherine Walls Lewis and Booker T. Lewis. She was the first daughter out of 12 siblings: Lawrence Crawley, Robert Lewis (deceased), Forestine Mathews (deceased), Roosevelt Lewis, Annie Lee (deceased), Edna Malsone, Rosetta Smith, Mary Fisher,  John Eddie Lewis, Lois Strong, and Ida Morris (deceased).

Jerlene was a nurturing, kind, gentle woman who stayed to herself mostly. She loved to cook, clean, and loved a good old TV show like Andy Griffith. She loved to look out the window and listen to some good music. She attended Philadelphia Baptist Church in Collierville, TN.

In her early years, Jerlene worked at South Western College Café in Memphis, TN. She then made a big girl decision to move to Cincinnati, Ohio where she settled in Avondale. She took a job as a private caretaker for a residential family.

Jerlene had one daughter, Marie Lewis Folden; one granddaughter, Sylk Folden; and three great-grandchildren: SinCere Folden, Saa Folden, and Nala Wilson.
