Jennifer J. Starks-Young February 7, 1953 - April 3, 2023

Jennifer Jeraldine Sloan was born on February 7, 1953 to Pastor Millard Philmore and Anna Ruth Sloan, who preceded her in death.

She was the fourth child out of ten children born to this union. She also had two other sisters from her father's first marriage.

Jennifer accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of seven. She attended Cincinnati public school system and earned her diploma. She also earned an Associates degree in Business Administration from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.

Jennifer loved her children Kristel, Miyoshi and Brandi. She would work two jobs at a time to provide for them. Even though she worked a lot, she always made time to enjoy life with her children. She loved to sing, dance, go to church, and travel.

She made sure her family stayed together. She organized the family reunion every year. She will really be missed by her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her three daughters, Kristel Sloan , Miyoshi Sloan, and Brandi Starks; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters, Selma Sloan Hudson, Roxanne Fitzhugh (Odell) , Kathryn Roper (Joseph) , Lawrence T Sloan, Terry LB Sloan (Annie), and Dwayne Sloan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and children she didn't birth.

She had two brothers and two sisters who preceded her in death, Alfredo J Sloan, Anthony W Sloan, Sylvia Sloan, and John F Sloan.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 12 noon, on  Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Tryed Stone New Beginning Church, 5550 Reading Road, Cincinnati  (45237).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12 noon.

Interment at 10:00 am on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428.
