On Saturday, January 17, 2026, Jennie Mae Hatcher, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, departed from us.

"I have come to the end of my earthly journey. I leave to cherish my memory my beloved husband Charles; my children John, James (LaDonna), Charles, Rodney, and Kymonti; 12 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; my siblings, Patricia, Carl, Selina, Amy (Danny), and Dr. Sylvia (DeFrost). I also leave my extended family - the Moore family, the Chriswell family, the Steele family, my New St. Paul church family, and my longest-living friends, Kittie and Alberta. I'm now reunited with my parents, Bittie and Raymond Daniel; my two beautiful daughters, Ossie and Jennifer, my great-grandson, Dahari; and my siblings, Nina, Ina, Rebbeca, Melvin, and Eugene." -Jennie Hatcher

Jennie, who wished to be remembered simply as "Granny", was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and a nurturing spirit. Jennie found her greatest joy in cooking, tending to her plants, and caring for her family. Her legacy endures in the love she freely gave and the wisdom she passed on. Her guidance and gentle strength will continue to shape our lives. She did her part with grace, and now she rests in peace.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the New St. Paul Baptist Church, 1907 Freeman Avenue, Cincinnati  (45214).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation,  beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
