Jefferson (Jeff) is the third of five children and second son born to John J. and Dorothy Jean Daniels on March 30, 1957. Jefferson married Jackie Renee Lewis on June 26, 1976, and fathered two children, Jefferson Jr. and Brandy Desiree. Jefferson later had a third child, Jessica Hummons. Jefferson was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Robert Hudson. Jeff was baptized at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Throughout his adult life, Jeff was a practicing Union painter and remarkable craftsman. One of his most meaningful assignments was his employment on the maintenance and facilities team at Drake Hospital. Using those talents and skills, Jeff served as an independent home improvement contractor for over 35 years. Inside and outside, there was hardly anything that he couldn't do or wouldn't try, succeeding every time in the realm of home improvement. Two weeks before his passing, his earthly family threw him a 60th birthday party. Two weeks later, his heavenly family threw him a Homecoming Party. Jeff is survived by his children: Jefferson Jr., Brandy and Jessica; his grandchildren: Jarren Daniels, Imani Renee Daniels Lankheit, DeAndre, YaYa, Jahziel, Azriel Daniels, Tianna Shanay Riley, Darionna Alysia, Diamond Alexis, Jaemar Tristan Daniels, Marc Alistaire Thomas Fritz Jr., Omarionna Renee Hummons, Jada Nichole Jones, Brighton Josiah Ford, and one great-grandson: Kam Lankheit; his siblings: Michelle, Michael, Valerie, Lois, Amy Anderson (Cornell), and Lynne Murphy-Rivera (Victor) of New Rochelle, New York, his stepmother: Bernice Daniels of New Rochelle, New York, nieces: Monica, Latasha Nicole, Amber, nephews: Michael, Darryl, Marc, David, Randy, Marty, Daniel, and Christopher, and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
