Jeanette F. Jordan (nee Duke) was born June 17, 1936 in Cleves, Ohio to the late Edward L. Duke and Alice A. (Jasper) Duke. She departed this life on May 5, 2014. Jeanette confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She joined and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Addyston, Ohio under the pastorate of the late Rev. J.W. Wright. Jeanette graduated from Taylor High School, Northbend, Ohio. Jeanette was joined in holy matrimony to the late Rev. William J.L. Jordan, Sr. on January 1, 1959. To this union, four sons were born: William J. L. Jordan, Jr., Edward H. Jordan, Antonio L. Jordan, and Roberto C. Jordan, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Sister Jeanette joined Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church on March 16, 1975 under the leadership of the late Rev. H. M. Smith, Founder. After the passing of Rev. Smith, she was under the leadership of Rev. H.E. Mabry. She served under the leadership of Rev. Mark T. Hawkins, Sr. until her health failed her. Jeanette worked in housekeeping at Children's Medical Center, also at various hotels. She loved family gatherings, Bingo, skating (in her younger days), listening to gospel music and reading the Bible. Jeanette also performed volunteer services until her health started to fail. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a loving, caring, kind Sister, Mom, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Mother-In-Law. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. William J. L. Jordan, Sr.; three brothers, Clifford Duke, Benjamin Duke, Sr., Orville V. Duke Sr.; four sisters, Charity Harrell, Lola C. Mumphrey, Laura J. Maull, and Donna M. Duke. She leaves to cherish her memory: her four sons, William J. L. Jordan, Jr. (Stephanie), Edward H. Jordan (Beverly), Antonio L. Jordan (Shawn) and Roberto C. Jordan (Kandice); one sister, Marcella R. (Bob) Dozier; three brothers, Charles A. Duke (Gloria), George W. Duke, James Duke (Toni), of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Marcus, Tania, Shanna, Edward Jr., Jordan, Jayden, Michael, Joe, and Martha; ten great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Melissa Ross.
