Jeanetta Gail Hughes was born May 31st 1959 to Helen Ruth Pierce and Charles Hughes in Chattanooga Tennessee She preferred to be called by her middle name "Gail" after growing up in Chattanooga where she attended Alton park Junior high school, The family decided to relocate and decided to settle in Cincinnati Ohio in 1976. It was there where Gail attended High School at Taft High. Shortly thereafter Gail met and married Lerenzo Wilson the two became a union in 1980. To this union were born children Letitia(Dee-Dee), Natasha (Tasha), DeWayne (Pee-wee) Demecus (Mecus) and Last but not least Michael (Mikey).

Gail always believed in the Lord and decided to become a member of the Kingdom Hall. It was there where she and her 5 Children Became Jehovah Witnesses.Throughout her journey of faith she decided to enroll into Tri State Beauty College, She loved making others look and feel good, Gail loved spending time with family she also enjoyed dancing and singing Gail had a beautiful voice and would Sing any and everywhere. Her favorite song to sing was Amazing Grace.

Gail was everyone's "Favorite" Because of her Authenticity and Compassion for Others. Gail had a Good heart which was led by faith in the lord. I know,I know, I know, she'd often say or Deya deya deya she'd say to all the Kids. Her grandchildren gave her the name Ma-Mudda and she loved it.Gail had a contagious laughter that was always followed by the biggest smile ever seen, In fact to know her is to love her, she was a special type of special and will be dearly missed by all. May her legacy live on.

Gail is preceded by her husband the late Lerenzo Wilson, both parents Helen Pierce and Charles Hughes,and her great-grandson Nylo Lattimore.

She is survived by aunt Hestella Hill.Her three siblings Rosetta Hughes,Tonietta Hughes,and Victor Horton, two daughters Letitia Hughes and Natasha Hughes,three sons DeWayne Hughes, Demecus Hughes,and Michael Hughes,19 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Baltimore Pike Cemetery.
