Obituary

Jarvis Oscar Burgin was the youngest of five children, born to the late John Lee Burgin and Josie Burgin, on October 19, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio. His brother (Jonathon) and sister (Beverly) both preceded him in death. Jarvis answered the Master's call on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 6:32 pm at Good Samaritan Hospital. Jarvis was educated in the Cincinnati Public Schools System and graduated from Woodward High School, June 1977.He married Jennene Jenkins in 1978. From this union one son was born, Jarvis Oscar Burgin Jr. Jarvis enlisted into the United States Army in 1978. He served for several years leaving with an honorable discharge. To rejoice in his home going, he leaves: one son, Jarvis Oscar Jr.; one granddaughter, Ranisha; one great granddaughter, Ra'naejah (Little Bit), one brother; Jeffery (Marilyn) Burgin, one sister; Janessa (Willie), one sister-in-law; Patricia Burgin, one aunt; Delores Ushry, a special friend; Sharon Knaff, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21 at James Temple Church of God in Chirst, 1116 Lincoln Ave., Walnut Hills with visitation from 10:00 a.m until time of service. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
