IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janet (Johnson)
Scott
December 11, 1953 – December 16, 2025
Janet Scott was born on December 11, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles William Johnson and Carrie M. Johnson. On December 16, 2025, Janet peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength that will live on through all who knew her.
Janet was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system and proudly attended Hughes High School. She later devoted many years of service to the Cincinnati Board of Education, where she worked diligently before retiring. Her commitment to her work reflected the same dedication she showed to her family and faith throughout her life. Baptized at an early age, Janet maintained a strong belief in God that guided her journey. She was known for her warm spirit, quick wit, and infectious sense of humor. Janet loved listening to music, playing cards, and sharing laughs-especially during her cherished daily conversations with her sister, Janice, which brought her immense joy.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Scott; her parents, Charles William Johnson and Carrie M. Johnson; her siblings, Denice Johnson and Arnell Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving children, Meshelle Scott and Marvin L. Scott Jr. (Jaime). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Shaquille Edward, Furious Carney, Shayheeda Carney, Dajuan Chatman, Breon Jones, and Marvion Scott, and a deeply adored great grandmother to Journey, Patient, Ocean, Demira and Amora. Janet is also survived by her loving siblings, Janice Brown and William Johnson; her dear nieces and nephews, Venita Brown, Valarie Brown-Green, Lil Tony, and a host of other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Janet Scott will be remembered for her loving heart, her humor that could light up any room and the unwavering love she had for her family. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit, laughter and love will remain with us always.
