Jane Elizabeth Rutland, aged 67 passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Cincinnati, OH. Born on July 12, 1957, in Lexington, KY, Jane was a beacon of love and positivity throughout her life.

Jane's early education was at Hughes High School, and she spent a significant part of her career at Children's Hospital where she worked for 18 years, dedicating her life to the care and well-being of others. A devout member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, her faith was a cornerstone of her existence. Jane's personality was as vibrant as her life; she was always the first to smile and had an enduring love for scary movies. Her joy was most palpable when she was dancing and singing, bringing light and energy into every room. In quieter moments, Jane enjoyed watching QVC, always on the lookout for something special.

She was preceded in death by both her parents; seven aunts; and two uncles.

She leaves behind a loving family: sons Norman Hill and Christopher Hill; daughter-in-law Theresa Warren; stepchildren Krystal Kinney, Charles Rutland III, and Alishia Rutland; grandchildren Nyasha Watson, Ameer Hill and Christopher Hill Jr., and sister Ramona Wilkins; uncles John Hill (Eula), Bruce Moore, Adell Kelley; aunts Milleent Stewart, Darlene Johnson, Vera Suggs, and Barbars Hill-Kelley and a special friend Sherwood.

Visitation is from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, on  Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church,  6850 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati  (45236).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Jane will be laid to rest at Landmark Memorial Gardens
