James Richard Spears passed away on August 2, 2013. He was 77 years old. James was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 22, 1936. He was a retired Ironworker from Local 44. Loving husband of the late Joan Spears (nee Spurlock.) Loving father of James (Karen) Spears, Herschel (Kelly) Spears, William (Jamie) Spears and Peggy (Ryan Hite) Crane; He is also proceeded in death by Randy Spears and Rocky Spears. Beloved Grandfather of Amy Gray, April (Keith) Rooks, Tamara (Brian) Smith, Jenna Spears, Lee Spears, Dalton Spears, Jeffrey Spears, Rocky Spears, Jolene Spears, Rylee Spears, Brock Spears, Jessica Crane and James Spears; Cherished Great Grandfather of: Kayla Gray, Lexi Gray, Jonathan Vollat, Taylor Vollat, Michael Spears, Kaya Ford, Kayden Spears, Autum Spears, Mckayla Garret, Aryanna Spears, Gavyn Spears, Amiyah Gebhart, De'asia Tyler, Xavier Oakes, Quentin Oakes, Jaxtin Oakes and Brayden Parks of Cincinnati. The visitation will be held at St. Mark AME Zion Church, 9208 Daly Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 10:00am. The funeral service will be held at St. Mark AME Zion Church, 9208 Daly Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00am with Pastor Rob Rosenbalm officiating. Burial to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Gardens, 11825 Pippin Road, Colerain Township, OH 45231 at 12:15 pm. A reception/wake will take place at Cincinnati Turners, 2200 Pinney Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45231 on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 1:00pm.
