James Robert Rentscher passed away on March 6, 2018 in Middletown, Ohio. He was 91 years old. James was born on July 14, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Maude Rentschler. He was a WWII veteran. James also served in the Merchant Marine in the South Pacific and Central and South America. Later he worked as an electronic service technician for over a decade. Mr. Rentschler enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, comedy films from the 40's, 50's and 60's, a good cup of coffee, listening to classical music and world events broadcasting radio. He loved the sea and living a healthy lifestyle that included running at Lunken Airport and laughing. James is survived by his son James and daughter-in-law, Nadine, his daughter Lisa, and son-in-law Jim, his niece Peggy and nephew Jack, six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers John and Richard. Services will take place on March 10, 2018 at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Arlington Memorial Gardens , 2145 Compton Road, Mt. Healthy, Ohio 45231.
