James Matthew Jones

July 8, 1944 to March 13, 2023

James Matthew Jones was born to Matthew and Isabelle Jones in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was known as "Bunky" to his family.  He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and attended Cleveland Public School System.  He enrolled in the Army at a young age and spent 11 years in the service. He was a special force green beret and served with the 173 airborne division, aka sky soilders,earning 5 medals in the vietnam war.  He worked for South Central Bell and AT&T for over 35 years. He was a member of the North Congragation in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was an Elder and Pioneer in the Jehovah's Witness Congregation for 50 years.

He was succeeded in death by his first wife Laverne Jones and his 2nd wife of 45 years Tonya Jones.  He leaves behind to mourn  his brother Yusef (Elizabeth) Ali, and 3 sons James Parnell (Darlene), Irvine Dwan, and Creighton Matthew Jones.  He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren,great Grandchildren, and alot of family and brothers and sisters from the kingdom halls of Jehovah witnesses.

The family will observe private services.
