IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Arthur
Long Iii
April 20, 1971 – May 2, 2025
On April 20, 1971, Pamela and James Arthur Long, Jr. welcomed their baby boy, James Arthur Long III. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio where he attended Cincinnati Public Schools. He grew up in Avondale, his most loved community. He was known as Jimmy and Jim Mac to his closest friends. Jimmy became a father at an early age. He prayed everyday for unity in his family. Jimmy loved interacting with people. He had a personality that demanded your attention. He loved boxing, baseball, football and dancing and enjoyed an ice cold beer. His smile, his jokes and outgoing charms made him a legendary Park Boy, 900 Burton Avenue A1 from Day one. He was always the life of the party.
For 23 years, James and Ms. Traci Everett were always together. Jimmy confessed his love and on May 4, 2009, they became husband and wife. They were always opening their door to everyone with celebrations of birthdays, holidays and every day living. Jimmy loved spending his most valued time with his authentic family. He departed this life on May 2, 2025 at the age of 54.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, Traci Everett; his nine children, whom he loved with all his heart, Tashae' Gordan, Natasha Collins (Tony), Jamellah Long, James A Long IV, Deja Hardy, James T. Long, Jimmani Long, Jamiya Long, and Jayana' Long; nine grandchildren, one of whom preceded him in death; one great grandchild; siblings, Troy, Joy, Victoria, Jameelah and Breauna; a special aunt, Marie Long and a host of many other relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati (45229).
