James L. Dorsey was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 4, 1922, to the union of Sterling Dorsey and Sodonya Dorsey. He departed this earthly life on Friday, August 16, 2013. James was a very loving and caring person. He was always willing to give a helping hand to people in need. He will be dearly missed by all. He worked at Proctor and Gamble for many years as a custodian. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of five years, Rachel Bradford Dorsey; a devoted step-daughter, Martha Gray; two step granddaughters, Paulette Carter and Jacqueline Carmichael, three step great-grandsons, Todd Thompson (LaGenna); Tiant Carter and Tyson Carter Sr.(Donna); four great-great-great-great-grandchildren, Miesha Giles, Adrianne Wilson, Jordon Williams and Tyson Carter Jr and a host of relatives and friends.
