James B. Houston was born on August 19, 1933 to the late Ned and Sallie Houston. He was married to Janice for 42 years. JB retired from Systems/Lazarus Parking Garage after 45+ years. JB lived and died doing what he loved to do most....working in the yard and "pittling" (as he called it). He was known to always tell you a joke, starting off by saying "Hey, did you hear the one ....". Look out, a joke was about to come. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Fannie, Arrie, Annie and one brother, Amos. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Janice ; one devoted daughter, Dorris (Emanuel) Ball; one son, Daryl (Tera) Patton; three brothers, JC Houston, Ned (Catherine) Houston, Aldon Houston; two sisters, Mary Bohannon, Gracie (Charles) Smith; many grand and great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at the Rescue Temple Church of God in Christ, 824 Mann Place, Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
