IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Harding,
Jr.
June 13, 1949 – February 6, 2018
James Harding Jr. the eldest child was born to loving parents James and Burma Harding on June 13, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio. James was known to those who grew up with him as Lil House and those he knew later in life as House. James Jr. was preceded in death by his parents James Sr. and Burma. House graduated from Lincoln Heights High School and matriculated at Central State University where he made numerous lifelong friends. He was a member of The Chief's and The Cincinnati Club. He retired from the Hamilton County Auditor's office with thirty plus years of service. Picture this..... It's the 80s , our beloved brother (House) is cruising in his shiny Gold Nissan Z28 with the T- Tops, rocking his Members Only jacket and a black Apple hat with his infectious smile, greeting all the ladies. Fast forward to the 2000s, and our beloved brother is pulling a Rusty Red wagon with stripes, wearing faded ole jeans, a dusty T shirt, muddy shoes and a wide brim straw hat and sweating like bullets. Who would have thought this suave, debonair fine brother would turn into a passionate gardener....his sisters certainly didn't. People say they had never seen a more beautiful, weedless garden full of beans, greens, and peppers. He loved his garden and many others did as well. He fed the family and his neighbors. A man with a garden. House was baptized at Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Sunday school and was a member of the first youth choir. He was an active member of the Streetwise Ministry, Media Ministry, Café Hope Ministry, and the Church Events Committee until his health would not allow him to continue. He leaves to cherish his memory two beautiful daughters Tiffany Harding and Fallon Geans Wagner (Aaron), one granddaughter Parker Wagner, three sisters, Cassaundra Hooks (Ronald), Pamela Glaspie (Henry), and LaTonya Bibbie (Duane), nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday, February 10, 1018, from the Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 9991 Wayne Avenue, Woodlawn, Ohio (45215). Interment will follow Oak Hill Cemetery in Springdale, Ohio. Byron Glaspie, Dante Pierson, Aaron Glaspie, Todd Harding, Aaron Wagner, and Ray Parker will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mathew Strader, VaShawn Strader, Charles Lewis, Arthur Holland, Randall Hamilton, Larry Jenkins, and The Chiefs.
