In Memory of James Tracy Foster September 11, 1966 - August 13, 2010 Visitation: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 Word of Deliverance Ministries for the World, Inc., 11331 Southland Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240 Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 Word of Deliverance Ministries for the World, Inc., 11331 Southland Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240 Interment: Spring Grove James Tracy Foster (aka Jim Dandy) was born on September 11, 1966 in Cincinnati Ohio to Janine Foster and Larry Southall Sr. He departed this life on August 13, 2010 at University of Cincinnati Hospital. On September 11, 2000 he married his beloved wife Kimberly A. Foster. To this union they were blessed with three beautiful children: Angel, Jamal and Jalen Foster. He also had two children prior to this union Tamiya and Shamiya Foster and three step children: DeVaughn Lowe, Ashley Crosby, and Ronald Crosby. James was baptized at an early age at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church (Lincoln Heights, OH), under the pasturage of James W. Jones, Sr. He was a member of The Buccaneers Motor Cycle Club and The Masonic Lodge. James passion was music; he was a very well-known DJ (Jim Dandy) in Cincinnati, OH. James attended Princeton High School, were he was a honorable track star. He was a very beloved person. He was always there to lend a helping hand to family members, friends and strangers. James was a very caring and loving person who never met a stranger. He was the kind of person that when he walked in a room, before the night was over everyone knew James. What brightened up James' spirit was spending time with his (children), family and friends. James had an amazing way of inviting you into his life; His best friend Johnny vividly recalls, 'James always had an amazing story to tell.' He loved roller skating, fishing, and music, passions which he passed to his children. James was employed by CHC Fabrication & Welding and Tri-State Towing Company. But James has held many jobs because he was a jack of all trades. His favorite saying, as his mother recalls, 'This is a small thing to a giant!' James is survived by his loving wife Kimberly A. Foster; children Ashley Crosby, Ronald Crosby, Shamiya Foster, Tamiya Foster, DeVaughn Lowe, Jamal and Jalen Foster. Grandchildren Ke'Vontae Crosby-Brock and Da'lon James Foster; Mother, Janine Foster, Father, Larry Southall, Sr. (Bertha); Grandmother, Naomi Foster; three brothers, Larry Southall, Jr., (Teresa), Randall Southall (Twyla), Zebediah Williams, (Yanna), sisters; Nena Southall, Angela Nicole Smith (Michael); Patricia Crosby; In laws, Ellis & Shirley Hampton; Loving stepparents Ronald (Barbara) Robinson, Uncle Leonard (Marsha) Luckey; Devoted Friends: Marsha Roundtree, Leon Hunn, Johnny Rutherford, Quamberly Little, Emmanuel Lee, Bill Mabrey, Tom Stephens and 'Party Animals' and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Angel Foster; Grandparents, Rev. Charles Sr. and Frances Southall; his Grandfather, `Lawyer Foster and his aunt Janice Smith. James was liked by many and loved by most, he will be truly missed. 'Now you are riding high with God' 'Hey Mister DJ, please play my song!' Friends may call Thursday August 19th at Word of Deliverance Ministries, 11331 Southland Road, Forest Park, Ohio 45240 where his family will receive friends from 10-11 am until the time of services at 11 am. Pastor Ray McMillian will be presiding. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, Cincinnati, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be donated to any Huntington Bank location to the Jamal and Jalen college fund.
