James E. Douglas of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on  Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the age of 72.  He was born on Wednesday, October 10, 1951, to Carl W. Douglas and Dorothy A. Douglas (nee McCormack).  James was married to Shari Bowker, whom he later divorced.  From this union were born two daughters, Melanee D. Douglas (deceased) and Jamee Moffett.

James was a hard worker, dedicated to his job at Meijer.  He will always be remembered for his sense of humor.  He always made jokes and loved making people laugh.  James had a passion for Elvis Presley.  He had even collected memorabilia.  He loved Elvis' music and the oldies.  He also collected knives and had many of them.  He loved watching movies in his spare time.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Melanee D. Douglas; a brother, Donald Douglas; son-in-law, Kevin; sister-in-law, Vicki.  He is survived by his daughter, Jamee Moffett and his joy in his life, the grandchildren, Brittany Handy (Dondre), Vincent Sunseri, Micah J. Moffett and Ashlen Moffett and great-grandchildren, Elijah Handy, Joslyn Handy, Dominic Sunseri and Brayden Sunseri;  his brothers, John Douglas and Michael Douglas; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and dear friends.  He will forever be missed.
