James Christopher
Dixon
November 19, 1971 — July 30, 2026
Pickeringotn, OH
James Christopher Dixon Sr. was born on November 19, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the only son and youngest of two children born to Donna James Dixon Quarles.
To know James was to love him. He had a remarkable gift for brightening every room he entered and lifting the spirits of everyone around him. His warm smile, kind heart, and sense of humor made people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. He constantly encouraged others to believe in themselves, often reminding them, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Above all, James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He made sure his wife always knew she was deeply loved, and his children and grandchildren never questioned how much they meant to him. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, ensuring they always had food on the table, clothes to wear, and everything they needed. He was their provider, protector, and greatest source of strength.
On July 30, 2026, James peacefully transitioned in his sleep to be with the Lord. His passing was completely unexpected and left his family and loved ones heartbroken.
Though his earthly journey ended far too soon, the love he shared, the faith he lived by, and the countless lives he touched will remain his lasting legacy.
James leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother and stepfather, Donna and Dudley Quarles; his devoted wife, Genice Dixon; his children; Brandon Richardson. Kenny Combs, Malia Richardson and James Dixon Jr.; his ten beloved grandchildren; one sister Lisa Smithalong with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
James Christopher Dixon Sr. will forever be remembered as a loving man of God, a faithful servant, a dedicated family man, and a friend to all. His life was a beautiful reflection of love, generosity, optimism, and unwavering faith. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
