James Emmanuel Burton Born February 2, 1913 in Cincinnati, Ohio Passed January 30, 2007 Cincinnati, Ohio Father: Eugene B. Burton Mother: Sarah E. Boozer Wife: Jeanne Burton James Emmanuel Burton, the fifth of twelve children of the late Rev. Eugene B. Burton and Mrs. Sarah Boozer Burton, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 2, 1913. He went to rest on January 30, 2007. He was preceded in death by seven siblings (2 sisters and 5 brothers) and is survived by four siblings, Eugene, Donald, Matthew Burton of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sarah Powell of Los Angeles, California. 'Jim' was he was best known, finished elementary school at Douglas Jr. High School and graduated Woodward High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Univesity of Cincinnati and an associate degree from Salmon P. Chase College and a Masters Degree from Xavier University. James Emmanuel Burton was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was a poastal employee for 39 years. He started as a substitute clerk. Survived by his wife, Jeanne, children, James Michael and Beverly, grandchildren, Michael, Courtney, Joseph, and James, five great-grandchildren, Cortez, Bryannah, Jacob, Joseph, and Ryan.
