Jamar D. Scott was born June 2, 1979 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Sharon Sellers and David Scott. Jamar always made it clear his priority was God first before anything. He gave his thanks to his grandmothers, Elizabeth Murphy and Ruth Scott, for bringing him to Christ. Jamar's grandfather, Richard Murphy, instilled his interest of boxing into him. It was because of this, boxing became Jamar's passion. It brought him a sense of meaning and purpose to his life. He also loved music, which he picked up from his dad. His most loving attribute was his love and compassion for people. No matter if he was busy or tired, he would help, give advice, provide comfort, and pray for those who needed it. Jamar will be forever remembered by his wife, Chakeyna Harris-Scott, his 3 children, Kaleb, Danielle, and 2-month old Ja'Kai Scott, his 5 step-children, Isaiah Harris, Elijah Harris, Kyra Harris, Ja'Von Sawyer, and Kaidyn Patterson, his mother, Sharon Seller, his father, David Scott, step-father, Preston Sellers, and his one and only younger brother, Martay Sellers. Jamar will also be forever remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, extended family and dear friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Hope For You Family Life and Worship Center, 1947 Miles Road, Cincinnati (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
