Jade Wiles Sr., age 58, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. He was born on October 30, 1967, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Odell Jesse Wiles Jr. and Beverley Ann Davis and was also raised by their respective spouses, Marian Wiles and Lee Stevenson Sr.

As a young man, Jade Sr. accepted Christ and remained a faithful member of the Church of the Living God, C.W.F.F., #51, until he graduated from high school. He earned three varsity letters and a captain’s letter in tennis at the Cincinnati Academy of Physical Education. Jade Sr. attended the University of South Carolina-Upstate, majoring in civil engineering. He was also a member of the Piedmont Assembly, a leadership and mentorship initiative for young Black men.

Shortly thereafter, Jade Sr. enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country with honor. During his military service, he served as an Aviation Electrician, Flight Deck Qualified Final Checker, and Plane Captain on F/A-18 aircraft. He served aboard the USS Forrestal and the USS Coral Sea (both decommissioned) and was stationed in Key West, Florida. He served in Desert Storm and Operation Provide Comfort. Upon completion of his service, he received an Honorable Discharge as an E-5. His seven years in the Navy represented an important chapter of his life and reflected his independence, resilience, and ability to navigate life on his own terms.

He married Frances Ayers Wiles, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage, and from their union came Michael, Jade, and Jessica. He later married Tannish Knowles, with whom he shared 10 years of marriage.

Following his military service, Jade Sr. returned to civilian life and worked as an accomplished real estate professional across various industries, specializing in acquisitions, asset management, contract negotiations, and dispositions. He spent several years working alongside his father in the family real estate development business. After officially retiring from the military, Jade Sr. enjoyed a well-earned retirement, living a great life filled with travel and treasured time with his children.

Those who knew Jade Sr. knew him as an exceptionally intelligent man with a sharp mind, a distinct personality, and a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, often leaving a lasting impression through his humor, confidence, and engaging personality. Jade Sr. was also charismatic, quick-witted, and full of knowledge. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds, and had a deep appreciation for jazz and antiques.

Jade Sr. leaves behind more than memories; he leaves a lasting legacy shaped by the life he lived, the wisdom he shared, and the unmistakable presence he carried wherever he went. His stories, laughter, and the moments shared with those who loved him will remain a treasured part of his legacy for generations to come.

Jade Sr. is survived by his children, Michael Ayers Sr. (Amanosi), Jade Wiles Jr., and Jessica Wiles; his grandchildren, Michael Jr., Mylah, and Zahra; his mother, Beverly Stevenson, and her husband, Lee Stevenson Sr.; and his father, Odell Jesse Wiles Jr., and his wife, Marian Wiles; his brothers, Julian Wiles (Chellie), Odell Jesse Wiles III, and Lee Stevenson Jr.; his sisters, Bridget Wiles and Chiquita West (Alex); as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 12:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
