IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacqueline
Glenn
September 9, 1962 – February 26, 2015
Jacqueline Glenn was born September 9, 1962, in Cincinnati Ohio, from the union of David and Grace Glenn. At a young age she had two "awakening moments" that would prove to be impactful and life- changing. The first was receiving Christ at Beulah Baptist Church where her grandfather Reverend David Glenn was the founding pastor, and second was her understanding that she had a profound charge to care for the sick. Both moments she learned early on would be a perfect blend in her life, because it was her belief and trust in Christ with a determination to aid the sick that allowed her to receive a scholarship after high school to Ohio State University for Nursing and then finish the pursuit of that degree by graduating from The Saint Joseph's School of Nursing Program in California., the culmination of these moments continued to remain steadfast in her life as she continued to be a beacon of compassion working as a travelling nurse at various hospitals, nursing homes and private doctors' offices. One of her most memorable duties was serving as the head nurse for Ms. Winifred Price (mother of Dr. Fred Price, Senior Pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center). Jacqueline is the youngest of 6 siblings and is preceded in death by her father, David Glenn Jr, two brothers, Robert Lee Glenn and David Glenn III and her niece Anna Marie Glenn. Jacqueline leaves not to mourn but to cherish her memories; her loving mother Grace Glenn, two brothers, Fernando Glenn of South Carolina and Anthony Glenn (Claudette) of California, two sisters, Yvonne Weaver of Cincinnati Ohio, Elaine Glenn (Steven), and a sister in law Gertrude Glenn of Cincinnati Ohio. She also leaves not to mourn but to cherish her memories; 13 nieces and nephews, Michelle Adams (Brian) of Dover Delaware, Sharonda Glenn of Cincinnati Ohio, Yvette Glenn of North Carolina, Recardo Newell of Cincinnati Ohio, Tasha Luke (Gene) of Newport, Kentucky, Raquel Chambers of North Carolina, Monique West of Cincinnati Ohio, Anthony Glenn Jr. of Florida, Michelle Duke of North Carolina, Joseph and Benjamin Glenn of South Carolina and Kylie and Shawn of California. Eleven great nieces and nephews, eleven great-great nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at the Walker - Walnut Hills Chapel , 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation and will begin at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
