Jacqueline
Coleman
November 26, 1963 – February 21, 2026
Jackie Coleman, affectionately known throughout her life as Mudda or Mydear, was born on November 26, 1963, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Ernest and Bessie (Gaston) Coleman. The youngest of six children, Jackie grew up surrounded by the deep love, laughter, and closeness of a large family, something she carried with her throughout her life.
Jackie was a proud graduate of Western Hills High School. She began her professional journey at CMHA, where she dedicated over 20 years of service before continuing her work at St. Joseph Orphanage. She later joined Central Clinic, where she concluded a career marked by compassion, commitment, and a genuine desire to help others.
Jackie had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of joy. She loved music—especially the soulful sounds of Sade and Anita Baker—and she found peace and happiness in traveling.
Time with family was her greatest treasure. Whether she was playing tonk or spades, enjoying her beloved bingo nights, or simply sharing space with the people she loved, Jackie made every moment feel warm and memorable.
She leaves to cherish her memory of her daughter Ashley (Shawntez) Scott; her son Jahmare Arnold; and her three adored grandchildren: Ashton Coleman, Julian Arnold, and Aubrey Scott. She is also survived by her four sisters: Phyllis Christopher of Georgetown, KY; Mary (Roger) McConnell of Cincinnati, OH; Elaine George of Cincinnati, OH; and Barbara Isaacs of Cincinnati, OH; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Bessie Coleman, and her beloved brother, Michael Coleman.
Jackie’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and the power of family. Her laughter, her kindness, and her unmistakable presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
