Ida Mae Baker Simpson, affectionately known as "Gigi", passed November 11, 2012. She was born May 26, 1920 in Union, Kentucky where Ryle High School is now located to the union of the late Gullie and Ella Baker. She was one of seven children; all of whom have preceded her in death. She departed this life on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY. She was married to Archie Simpson for fifty years.
