Howard D. Evans (Dee Bo) to most, was born June 20, 1916 in Talleferro County, Crawfordville, Georgia. He was the eldest son of two children born to bless the union of Henry (Buddy Bo) Evans and Laura Evans. Dee Bo was 27 years old when he moved his family to Cincinnati, Ohio. He went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the Drake Hospice unit room 1027 at 5:38 p.m. Although, Dee had many different jobs he was mostly known for his skills and ability to work on cars. He was always teaching his grand and great grand children about the family history. A son of a slave that worked on the chain gang sought out more for his life. He wanted better for his family at an early age after marrying his wife at the age of 17. Howard was preceded in death by his brother Willie Claude Evans, his children Lola Mae Evans-Hill, Alberta William, Annie Laura (Pearl) Evans, Louella E. Hart (Lou), and his daughter-in-law Mary Evans. Holding cherished memories are: his wife, Lillie Mae Evans and his significant other for many years, Sadie Mae Penn; sons, Willie Evans (Margaret) and Charles Evans; stepchildren, LaDon Penn, Michelle Houston (Gary) and Valeria Penn; grandchildren, Margo Thurmond, Marcia Evans-Smith, Vickie Gentry, Virgil Evans, Norine Houston (Darnell), Dwaine Evans, Donnie Evans, Sheroin Evans, Corey Evans, Toshia Brooks (David) and LaDon Penn Jr.; great-grandchildren, Alan, Tobiah Brooks, Tyrie Smith, Amber Gentry, Eric and Derrick Thurmond; great-great grandchildren, Sasha and Derrick Emery Jr., Di'Aiera and Elijah Thurmond; and a host of family and friends.
