It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of Hiwot Asfaw Akalu, age 25, of Cincinnati, Ohio,  who entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   He was born on Friday, June 2, 2000, in Este, Ethopia.

Visitation is from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm, on  Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, 1633 Marlowe, Cincinnati  (45224).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:30 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
