In Loving Memory of Mother and Friend HILDA GIST - KINNEY Hilda was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to David and Pearl Gist on April 11, 1940. She graduated from Withrow High School. She attended Porro Beauty College where she earned her license in Cosmetology. She enjoyed reading, contemporary jazz and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who knew her best as MEMA. Hilda is preceded in death by her husband Sherman Kinney Sr. parents, David and Pearl; two sisters Betty and Noel and stepdaughter Maria Kinney. Hilda is survived by her sister Virginia Stewart; daughter Terri (Pearson) Grace of Indianapolis, IN; daughter Crystal Gist. Seven stepchildren Teresa, Joseph ,Aaron, Johnny, Bobby, Chuck and Richard Kinney. four grandchildren Julius Mansa, Janelle Mayes, Adrienne Gist, and Erin Cockrell; and four great-grandchildren Naomi, Damon, Kennedy, and Khalil. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Covenant Village for their support in her final days.
