Born on August 21, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Herman Waters was the son of the late Ivy and Mattie Mae (Johnson) Waters. He passed away June 13, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Herman attended Cincinnati Public Schools and later joined the U. S. Air Force. After returning to Cincinnati, he began working for General Electric. He retired from General Electric in Evendale, Ohio after forty plus years of service. Herman loved playing cards, dancing and being around family. Herman was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He was an usher at Antioch Baptist Church and sang in the Men's Choir. He later moved his membership to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Thelma Johnson, Addie Mae Ross, Ethel Ward and, Edwina Smith, three brothers, Russell Waters, Norman Waters and Ernest Waters. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Charlesetta; one son, Jerry (Elaine) White of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Angela Williams of New York, New York; three stepchildren, Elaine Herron of Richmond, Kentucky, Maurice 'Buster' Mundy and Carol Mundy of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters, Eloise Davis, Annie Pearl Parks and Mamie Delores Waters, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Gary Lee Waters of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Clara Kemp of Cincinnati, Ohio; three brother-in-laws, Jamie Ward of Cincinnati, Ohio, James Hocker of Richmond, Kentucky and William Curtis (Nancy) Rhodes of Richmond, Kentucky, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 3101 Riverside Drive, Cincinnati (45226) with visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
