Henry Charles Lowe, Sr. was born on December 17, 1919 to Reverend Albert and Willie Lowe in Newport, Kentucky and entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, after a long illness. Henry was preceded in death in 2009 by his wife of 66 years, Flora M. Lowe. Henry joined the Army during World War II, and fought in five major battles throughout Europe. A decorated war veteran, Henry was honorably discharged in 1945. Later, Henry worked for the City of Newport in the maintenance department where he retired after 20+ years of service. Henry was a member of Corinthian Baptist Church in Newport, Kentucky. He was also a member Newport Lodge # 120 F&AM, Hiram Consistory # 123 Scottish Rite Masons, Durgan Chapter # 5, Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar and Aleikum Temple #96 AEAONMS. Henry leaves to cherish his loving memory: his children: Carol, Sherry, Sylvia, Willa, Albert and Henry, Jr. one sister, Lassie B. Fowler, nine grandchildren: Henry III, Adrianne, Wayne, Stacey, Shannon, Eric, Tracey, Nigel and Chrysten, twenty-two greatgrandchildren,four great-great grandchildren, one brother-inlaw, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011 with 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Corinthian Baptist Church, 7 Saratoga, Newport,KY 41071. Arrangements by Walker.
