Henrietta Fisher (“Nana”)

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our matriarch, Henrietta Fisher, affectionately known as “Nana.”

Born on November 16, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Henrietta was the only child of her devoted parents, Charles and Anna Tolliver. She peacefully transitioned on April 20, 2026, at home in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

Henrietta lived a life rooted in faith, resilience, discipline, and grace. Though she was one seed, she grew a beautiful and expansive family tree, becoming a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was the epitome of femininity—carrying herself with elegance, strength, and dignity in all she did.

She was an exceptional cook, known for meals made with love and precision. Her desserts were nothing short of extraordinary, and her homemade chicken and dumplings became a treasured family tradition. She also had a gift for nurturing life, expressed through her love for flowers and plants, and her ability to make any space feel warm and welcoming.

Henrietta graduated from Hughes High School and made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed life fully—participating in her weekly Pokeno club, square dancing, traveling, going to the beach, and attending the Kentucky Derby. She also believed deeply in giving back and volunteered for many years at The Caring Place Food Bank.

She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Lawrence Fisher, for 45 years. A compassionate caregiver, she cared for him and others with patience and love during their most vulnerable times.

Affectionately called “Nana,” she was a steady and guiding force in her family. She believed in doing things the right way, led by example, and instilled values of strength, respect, and accountability in those she loved. She spoke her mind with honesty, gave generously of herself, and always made room for laughter and love.

In 2018, Henrietta was diagnosed with dementia. Even as her condition progressed, she never lost her essence. She found joy in music, cherished time with family, shared memories, and expressed love through her gentle presence. Because of the unwavering care of her family, she was able to remain in

her home until the end.

Henrietta leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Mary Ann Fisher, Darryl Fisher, Audrey Fisher-Sene, Lawrence Fisher II, and her grandson whom she raised as her own, Lawrence Fisher III.

She also leaves her cherished grandchildren: Jeffery Neal, Tonie Tolliver, Lamont Williams, Isacc Williams (Janale), Santos Hernandez, Francisco Hernandez, Natalie Fisher, Louis Fisher, Carandol Williams, Lauren Fisher, Kayla Hernandez, Edwin Harris, Edmond Harris, Elijah Harris, Olivia Fisher-Sene, and Emanuel Harris; along with 42 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren, nephews Rudolph Myers and Bob Myers, and a host of extended family and friends.

Today, we don’t just mourn her passing—we celebrate her life. We celebrate her strength, her love, her traditions, and the foundation she built for all of us. Her life was a blessing. Her love was a gift. And her legacy will live on—always.
