Henri Jean Reynolds, born Stallings and affectionately known as "Jean" or "Ranny," was born on July 23, 1936, to the union of Henry Stallings and Frankie Mae Stallings in Newnan, Georgia.

Jean attended Newnan High School, and shortly thereafter, she and her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she earned her nursing degree from Cincinnati Technical College.

Jean became the loving mother of her only child, Shirley J. Reynolds, who preceded her in death. As the matriarch of her family, Jean was also a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She dearly loved her sweet goddaughter, Hannah Allen.

Jean kept God at the head of her life. She was a faithful and devoted member of Bibleway C.O.G.I.C., where she served as the Sunday School Superintendent and sang with the Bibleway Mass Choir. When Jean was not faithfully serving as a church leader or caring for others as a nurse, she enjoyed being an active member of the Mt. Auburn Senior Citizens Club.

Jean now rejoins her beloved daughter, Shirley J. Reynolds; her parents, Henry and Frankie Mae Stallings; and her beloved aunt, Otis Mae Cobb, in eternal rest.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three granddaughters, Shamela Byrd (Terrance), Jamie Lindsay, and Alexis Lindsay; her beloved great-grandchildren, Anthony Branch, Cavari Byrd, and Cyla Byrd; a host of cousins and friends; the staff and residents of Mt. Airy Gardens; and her special sister-in-law, Josephine Carlson, who lovingly referred to Jean as "Sis."
