Obituary

Helena Behanan was born to the union of Anna Smith Behanan and William Behanan on April 14, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her parents preceded her in death.

Helena was a graduate of Robert A. Taft High School. She went on to get her Associate's degree from ITT Tech College in medical billing and coding. Helena worked at the St. Elizabeth Hospital for ten years until her passing on October 12, 2020.

Helena met and fell in love with Jeffery Ensley in 1984, they remained together until her passing.

Helena had many hobbies that she enjoyed that included thrift store shopping, watching baseball and football games, going to the casino, and hanging out with family. She loved giving advice.

Helena was a pillar of her community. She was giving, loving, funny, honest, smart, a go-getter, protector, strong-willed, and a jokester. She touched a lot of people's spirits when she encountered them. She was best known as "Ms. B."

Helena leaves to cherish her memories her children: George, Georrisha, Samissha, Jerone (Marcie), and Jerneisha Behanan; grandchildren: Johnriel, Jernazia, Shanequis, Shatonia, Te'a, Te'shaun, Jermyrha, Jerone Jr., Mazahte Behanan, Marcus Thomas, and Jervonte' Behanan; brother Anderson Behanan; great-grandchildren: Messiah, Majesty, and Ayden; special cousins; aunts; uncles; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
