Helen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Richard and Edith Alcorn, on November 28, 1946.

Helen married the love of her life, Louis Schunk, on April 5, 1980.  Helen loved and cherished her family, and with the occasional left, you knew just how strong her love was. Helen loved watching the Cincinnati Reds as well as playing bingo, solitaire, and spending time with her friends.

Helen was a woman of many words that many will never forget. We will one day reunite with Helen, until then we remember her for the loving person she was and the amazing memories she gave to us all.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Edith Alcorn and her husband, Louis Schunk.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was called home on April 15, 2022, surrounded by family.

Helen Lucile Schunk, loving mother to Raymond, Stephanie, Brian (Gloria), Denice (John), and Louis Jr (Tabi); loving stepmother to Billy (Lana) and Lisa Schunk; devoted grandmother to Elizabeth, Krysten, Jessica, Little Steph, Kolin, Kylin, Brian Jr, Sarah, Cierra, Mercedes, Lou Jr, Keyen, Kaylee, Brea, Billy Jr, Corey, Eli, Amber, Paige, and Alisha, loving great-grandmother to her 16 great-grandchildren. Sister to Dicky Jr, Della, Mary, Harpo, Jeanie, and Bucky. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Baltimore Pike Cemetery, 3200 Costello Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.

In keeping with CDC Covid19 Guidelines, we encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
