Helen Marie Palmer was born to the late Evelyn and Carl Goins in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 24, 1928. She was baptized early in life in the Catholic faith at Holy Trinity, downtown Cincinnati. She attended Girls Town School. Later in life she was baptized in the Baptist faith, and served as a devoted member of Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist At the age of 16, Helen began her longtime employment at the Mack's Shirt Factory on Colerain Avenue. After 45 years of committed service, she retired with honors. She united in Holy Matrimony to the late James Edward Palmer, and raised a loving daughter the late Johnnie May Turner. Helen Palmer was affectionately known as "Auntie" to everyone who knew her. Her nieces, nephews and cousins annually attended her Thanksgiving dinners. She loved spending time with her family, and cherished the bonds she had with her late sister Ethel Logan, late cousin Tessie May Boggs, and sister-in-law Delores Hughes. She was preceded in death by her loving sister Ethel Logan (James Logan) and brother James Hughes. She leaves to celebrate her life: devoted sister -in-law Delores Hughes, Ruby Goldsmith & Agnes Marsh (who affectionately called her "Mama"), beloved "Grandmother" to the late Marc Watson, Marco Turner, Erik Marsh, Justin Marsh, Candace Goldsmith, Willie James Goldsmith, and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 505 Liberty Avenue, Cincinnati (45202).
